Over the past three quarters, Chinese buyers have sold off more than $16 billion worth of real estate, and that number is likely to double again in the future. And the idea of Chinese buyers getting out of the U.S. real estate market has been exacerbated by plans in several parts of the country to introduce policies that would restrict Chinese citizens from buying homes and land.
