Legal eagle Ira Millstein and his wife Susan are taking a hit on their Upper East Side home, which they have put on the market for $2.3 million.
That’s less than the $2.45 million they paid for it in 2015, according to city property records. The swanky address, 930 Fifth Ave., is an Emery Roth-designed Art Deco building at 74th Street, across from the Model Boat Pond in Central Park.
Woody Allen once lived in the penthouse. The fourth-floor unit comes with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a windowed eat-in chef’s kitchen.
The home opens to a foyer in grey Venetian plaster that leads to a living/dining room with beamed ceilings, crown moldings and custom built-ins for lots of storage space.
The main bedroom comes with custom closets, a wall of custom built-in cabinetry and a windowed, spa-like marble bathroom.
Both bedrooms have “landmarked” views of 74th Street and “oblique views” of Central Park, according to the listing.
Monthly maintenance is a relatively modest $2,694 a month. Millstein is a partner at the international law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges and his clients include General Electric.
He is also the founding chair of the Millstein Center for Global Markets and Corporate Ownership at Columbia University’s law school. Building amenities include a doorman, resident manager, elevator operators and a gym.
Listing brokers Michael J. Franco, Miriam Richards, Greg Holzmann and Veronica Hinman, all of Compass, declined to comment.
