Real Estate

CREW Network recognized excellence and achievement in commercial real estate by honoring seven industry leaders with the organization’s Catalyst, Circle of Excellence and Impact awards on Sept. 18 at the virtual 2020 CREW Network Convention.

CREW Network’s awards programs recognize and celebrate extraordinary leadership and success in commercial real estate. Through these recognition programs, CREW Network provides a platform to recognize outstanding professionals and achievements in the industry. The awards categories and 2020 honorees follow. CREW Catalyst Award

The inaugural CREW Catalyst Award honors industry leaders—both male and female—who are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion in commercial real estate. This industry-wide award recognizes a senior-level executive who has consistently demonstrated a commitment to advancing women, serving as a catalyst for change in their company and throughout the industry.

The 2020 CREW Catalyst honorees are:

Janice O’Neill Senior Vice President, Global Head of Talent Management and Diversity, Cushman & Wakefield

By driving Cushman & Wakefield’s Diversity & Inclusion agenda and Employee Engagement efforts, O’Neill shapes and influences all people processes within the company. She has been a leading supporter of CREW Network by positioning Cushman & Wakefield as a Program Partner and Premier Lead Sponsor of the Global Agenda Program for the past three years, and supporting women in the company to participate in the CREW Network Leadership Certificate program. Malcolm Stewart President and Chief Operating Officer, Camden Property Trust

Stewart has played a key role throughout his 37-year tenure in shaping Camden Property Trust into the diverse, inclusive company it is today. He leads 1,400 team members and manages an executive team that is 66 percent women. In 2019, he championed creating a formal diversity, equity and inclusion strategy for Camden. Stewart has twice been a CREW Visionary and encourages women in Camden to not only join CREW but to actively serve on committees and assume leadership roles. Circle of Excellence

The CREW Network Circle of Excellence award recognizes individuals and companies who consistently deliver excellence, and whose efforts advance the commercial real estate industry and show support for our mission. Inductees demonstrate excellence, integrity and innovation, and serve as thought leaders, change agents and champions of diversity.

The 2020 Circle of Excellence honoree is Collete English Dixon, Executive Director of the Marshall Bennett Institute of Real Estate at the Heller College of Business at Roosevelt University. English Dixon is an educator, influencer and a vocal advocate for women in commercial real estate. She mentors, speaks, teaches and exemplifies “if you can see it you can be it” for many Black women in the industry. English Dixon is a past CREW Network President and current member of CREW Chicago.
