Default getting a handle on rehab costs

Im having a difficult time estimating how much my first rehab is going to cost me. I always hear that i should make the kitchen extra nice, because that is a really important selling point of the house. Any advice on this?

you should get bids by multiple contractors, and also try to research the costs of the materials as well. It can be a pain, but the more you know the more you can be sure you are getting a fair price. This also can help you figue out how much they are charging for their labor costs. Also try and learn the basics about the different parts of remodeling a home, so you know what the contractor is talking about when you are negotiating.
