I have an agreement with one of my renters "rent to own agreements options"
and the deal has a closing date of 11-15-07 for the deal to be valid. I actually dont want to sell to this renter because of capitol gains, is there a way that i can get out of this contract, so i dont have to sell my house? |

unfortunately for you the agreement was a legal document, that you have to honor if all of the terms are met by the renter. If there isnt any way your lawyer can find for you to get out of this deal, you should think about doing a 1031 exchange. there are ways that you can structure your deals to lower the liability on your taxes

I have done that restructuring in my contracts and it has worked out real well for me.
