I want to sell a preforclosure fairly quickly and i was wondering how much below market you would have to put on home on the market for to get a quick turn around? I was thinking about listing it 10% below the comps in the area, just to make sure i dont have to carry it longer than i had planned.

I would say that it definatley depends on your market. How many similar homes are there in you maret that you have to compete with. Definantely check the comps in your area, and ask a realtor in your area if you know one. They can tell you what type of home is selling right now and how fast someting that you have will be able to sell.

If you really want to sell quick, i would say list it at a lower price and just hold it. Dont start higher and keep cutting the price as people seem to wait for the price to keep going lower. Also i might take some time for all the potential buyers in your area to get to know about your listing.
